The Elassonitis ( Greek Ελασσονίτης , also Elassonitikos Ελασσονίτικος) is a river in the Greek region of Thessaly .

The Elassonitis rises on the south-western flank of the Olymp massif (summit heights Terpsithea, 2,589 m, and Ennea Pyrgi, 2,470 m) near the village of Ano Sparmo (Epano Sparmo). Initially, the Elassonitis runs in a south-westerly direction and flows around the Kato-Olymbos massif in an arc from north to west. He passes the villages of Flambouro and Kallithea in their south and reaches the city of Elassona west of the Kato-Olymbos massif. At the passage of the city of Elassona, the Elassonitis receives tributaries from the north-west such as the rivers Kourtidiaris Rema and Grammatiko Lakkos. After the city of Elassona the course of the river swings in a south-westerly direction. The Elassonitis flows into the Titarisios river near the village of Amouri and east of the village of Pratorio .

The water masses of Elassonitis reach the Aegean Sea via the Titarisios and the Pinios .
