Elder Kindred were a British rock band based in Huntingdon , Cambridgeshire . The only single of this phase was released in 1972 under the name Slow Dog . On the also only LP, now as Elder Kindred , which was released many years after its dissolution, there are recordings from January 1971 to February 1973, which were made with three different bassists. The group, managed by Rufus Manning Associates, was on tour with bands like Sam Apple Pie , UFO , Renaissance and Uriah Heep . Soon after the last existing recordings, it disbanded in 1973.
