Electronics technician for aviation systems

Electronics technician for aeronautical systems was a state-recognized training occupation in Germany under the Vocational Training Act . He was replaced by the apprenticeship aircraft electronics technician. The reorganization was necessary to meet the requirements of the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt and EASA.

Duration of training and structure

The training period to become an electronics technician for aeronautical systems was usually three and a half years. The training took place at the company and vocational school .

The job was structured as a mono job and was deepened in the areas of aircraft production, aircraft maintenance, aircraft overhaul, flight technology equipment and space systems. Other areas of application were permitted if the minimum requirements from the training regulations were conveyed. Electronics technicians for aviation systems were qualified electricians in terms of accident prevention regulations .

Work areas

Electronics technicians for aerospace systems worked in the aircraft and space industries. They put electromechanical and electrotechnical components into operation and carried out maintenance work.
