Elena Grölz (* 26. July 1960 in Bacau , Romania as Elena Leonte ) is a former German handball player of Romanian origin.

Elena Grölz began her career in her Romanian hometown of Bacau. Then she moved to HCM Constanța. With the team she was several times Romanian champion and cup winner. For Romania , she made 136 international matches. At the B World Cup in 1985 in Germany, she left her team, stayed in Germany and played for TV Lützellinden from then on . With the team she was German champion and DHB cup winner several times . In 1990 she moved to local rival TV Mainzlar , where she ended her career in 1995.

In the 2004/2005 season Elena Grölz worked as an assistant trainer at TV Mainzlar. Then for one season as the team's coach.

Elena Grölz is a qualified sports teacher at the Liebigschule Gießen. She is married and has two kids.
