Elena Luber

Elena Luber (born April 3, 1914 in Munich ; actually Helene Luber ) is a German actress .

Life and accomplishments

Born in Munich, she made her film debut again in 1934 under the direction of Carl Heinz Wolff in Grüß 'mir die Lore . Especially in her early years in German film, she was often listed as Helen Luber . The director Carl Boese noticed them and cast them in the comedy One Night on the Danube . The relationship between the two grew closer and they married in 1938. However, throughout her career she concentrated more on her theater activities. During the Second World War, she only worked in Italian film productions. After the war she could only be seen in 6 films, including Beate (1948) and Das Nachtgespenst (1953), now only directed by her husband. After The Spanish Fly (1955) she retired into private life. Her husband died in 1958.
