ELF was a German punk rock band from Hamburg. It was named after the initiator and slime guitarist Michael "Elf" Mayer .

Band history

After Slime broke up again in 1994, Michael Mayer did nothing for the time being and lived from the success of the last album " Schweinherbst" . In 1996 he founded Elf with Ma-Teng, Ruben and Andreas “Andi” Hüging. The band made their debut on Noise Records in 1997 with the album German Angst . Includes a cover version of the Rio Reiser classic Alles Läge , which was also released as a single . In 1998 two contributions for the compilation followed. FC St. Pauli is to blame for my being like this , one of them with the punk band Phantastix.

In 1999 the last album alcohol & old notes was released , which was mastered by ex-slime member Christian Mevs in the Soundgarden studio in Hamburg.

Later, Andreas “Andi” Hüging wrote the only song on the slime album, " To add means to lie" , that did not come from Erich Mühsam .
