Elfriede Weiler

Elfriede Weiler (born October 22, 1906 in Dortmund ; † January 10, 1984 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1954 to 1970 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary school , Elfriede Weiler worked for a textile department store between 1921 and 1928. Later she worked as a housewife .

Weiler was from 1945 to 1949 leader of the women's group of the SPD Dortmund-Aplerbeck. She was a member of the party district committee Western Westphalia and the SPD sub-district of Dortmund. From 1945 she was also chairwoman of the workers' welfare organization in Dortmund .

Weiler was a councilor for the city of Dortmund from 1946 to 1954 . She was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate of the SPD in constituency 108 and 111 (Dortmund III) from the third to the sixth electoral term. She was an MP from July 13, 1954 to July 25, 1970.
