Eli Thompson
Eli Thompson (born July 11, 1973 , † August 28, 2009 in Lauterbrunnen , Switzerland ) was an American parachute and object jumper . He had a fatal accident in a wingsuit object jump in the Swiss Lauterbrunnen Valley in 2009.
Thompson completed over 15,000 jumps. He was a member of the world champion skydiving team Flyboyz from 1996 to 2000 . Thompson also presented 30 episodes of the TV show Stunt Junkies on the Discovery Channel (USA), and he also worked as a stuntman , including for the film Austin Powers in Gold Stand .
On August 28, 2009, while filming a Red Bull promotional film , Thompson had a fatal accident: during a wingsuit object jump in Lauterbrunnen Valley , he hit the rock face and fell into the depths.
Thompson left behind his pregnant wife and two children.
