Elia Andrioletti

Elia Andrioletti (born June 9, 1952 in Vertova , Lombardy region ) is an Italian enduro athlete . During his sporting career he was European and Italian champion several times.

Career

Andrioletti started his sporting career in 1970. In 1973 he was Italian Enduro Champion in the class up to 100 cm³ with a KTM . From then on he rode exclusively on motorcycles of the Austrian brand. The following year he defended his national title. In 1976 he won the Enduro European Championship in the class up to 175 cm³ and was again Italian champion. In addition, he was class winner at the Italian enduro race Valli Bergamasche that year . The following year he repeated his victories at the European Championships and at the Valli Bergamasche.

In 1978 he switched to the class of motorcycles up to 350 cm³. Once again he managed to win the European Championship and class victory in the Valli Bergamasche. He also won the Roof of Africa in South Africa. In 1979 he was a member of the victorious Italian national trophy team at the international six-day race in Germany. In 1980 he was again a member of the winning team at the six-day race in Brioude in France. In the Valli Bergamasche he won in the class up to 125 cm³. In 1981 he won the Roof of Africa again. In the same year he took part with the KTM works team in the Paris-Dakar rally , which he did not finish.

In his twelve participations in the International Six Day Race, he won nine gold medals and three times in his class.
