Elias dos Santos Ferreira

Elias dos Santos Ferreira (born April 11, 1963 in Samalari , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese official.

Career

Ferreira completed a course in Economics and Accounting at the Cristal Higher Education Institute in Dili in 2012 .

1989 Ferreira started in time of Indonesia of occupied East Timor as an official of the Statistics Division subdistrict Tutuala . In 2004 he coordinated the first census in the now independent East Timor. From 2009 to 2012 Ferreira was National Director of the Direcção Nacional de Estatística DNE. It was the General Directorate for Analysis and Research of the East Timorese Ministry of Finance . Under Ferreira's successor António Freitas , the DNE became its own General Directorate (Direcção-Geral de Estatística DGS). Ferreira himself became National Director for Methodology and Data Collection (DGS) within the new General Directorate in 2013. On July 1, 2016, Ferreira took over from Freitas as General Director of the DGS.
