Elin Rodum Agdestein

Elin Rodum Agdestein (born August 10, 1957 in Steinkjer ) is a Norwegian politician of the conservative Høyre party . She has been a member of the Storting since 2013 .

Life

Agdestein studied occupational therapy from 1979 to 1983 at the Technical and Natural Sciences University of Norway (NTNU). She then worked in this profession in various positions and as an independent consultant. From 2003 to 2013 she ran a private kindergarten she founded and a primary school. From 2003 to 2013 she was a member of the local parliament of Steinkjer , and between 2006 and 2013 she also sat in the fylkesting of what was then the province of Nord-Trøndelag .

Agdestein ran in the 2009 general election for a seat in the Norwegian national parliament Storting , but she missed the move. In the next election in September 2013, she finally received a mandate in the constituency of Nord-Trøndelag. She became a member of the Foreign and Defense Committee. After the 2017 election , she moved to the Finance Committee.
