Elisa Rigaudo (born June 17, 1980 in Cuneo ) is a former Italian walker .

Her greatest sporting successes are the third places at the European Championships in Gothenburg 2006, the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and the World Championships in Daegu 2011 over 20 km walking.

Rigaudo reached seventh place in the 5 km walk at the Junior World Championships in 1998 and was U23 European champion in the 20 km walk in 2001 . The following year, she was warned by the IAAF for violating the doping rules.

At the World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , Elisa Rigaudo finished tenth. In 2004 she finished sixth at the Athens Olympic Games . This was followed by a seventh place at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki.

In 2006 Elisa Rigaudo won her first international adult medal when she won bronze at the European Championships in Gothenburg . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, she received the bronze medal over 20 km again in precious metal and at the same time improved her personal best in this race to 1:27:12 hours.

At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, Rigaudo finished ninth in the 20 km walk in 1:31:52 hours. In 2010 she took a baby break. She finished fourth at the 2011 World Championships and seventh at the Olympic Games in London. Subsequently, she slipped to third place at the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, as the second-placed Russian Olga Kaniskina was disqualified for doping. At the Olympic Games in London she is now officially listed as sixth and no longer in seventh place. She finished eleventh at her last Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.

On February 23, 2017, she announced her retirement as an active athlete.

With a height of 1.69 m, she has a competition weight of 56 kg.
