Elisabeth Bormann ( sister Elisabeth ) (born November 3, 1912 in Witten ; † November 18, 1991 Witten) was a deaconess .

Sister Elisabeth was born in Witten and grew up with five siblings. After completing a home economics apprenticeship, she joined the mother house at the age of 19 to become a deaconess. This was followed by hospital nursing training and diaconal theological courses before she was consecrated into office on May 4, 1938 .

At first she was in the Ev. Hospitals in Hamm , Gelsenkirchen and Hattingen before she began her service as a parish nurse in the Brambauer parish in 1947 . She worked there for 30 years in nursing, but also as a committed employee of the community and head of women's aid. She spent her twilight years in the Martin-Graeber-Haus in Witten.

At the suggestion of the community, a street in Brambauer was named after her on June 21, 2009 : the Sister Elisabeth Way.
