Elisabeth Feldbusch

Elisabeth Feldbusch (born October 17, 1946 in Kassel ; † April 7, 2020 there ) was a German linguist and Germanist . She was a professor at the University of Paderborn . Her academic field of work included the history of language , the history of linguistics, language theory , philosophy of language , semiotics , sociolinguistics and dialectology.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1966, Feldbusch studied German, political science and philosophy at the University of Marburg in Kassel . In 1971 she graduated with the first state examination and was in 1976 when Ludwig Erich Schmitt Dr. phil. PhD . She qualified as a professor at the University of Paderborn in 1984. The following year she became a temporary professor at the University of Paderborn, and in 1988 she became professor for German studies and language history.
