Elisabeth Fessler

Elisabeth Fessler (* 1989 ) is a German trumpeter.

life and work

Elisabeth Fessler completed her studies with Wolfgang Guggenberger, majoring in trumpet. She also received lessons from Erich Rinner , Reinhold Friedrich , Gábor Tarkövi , Kristan Steenstrup, Klaus Schuhwerk and Frits Damrow . The course was supplemented by the minor subject baroque trumpet with Patrick Henrichs. In addition, she completed a teaching post for grammar schools specializing in jazz and popular music at the State University of Music in Trossingen . She received top marks in all subjects for her degrees. Elisabeth Fessler gained orchestral experience in the 2012/13 season with the Stuttgart Philharmonic and in the 2013/14 season with the Württemberg Philharmonic in Reutlingen . Since September 2014 she has been playing as a trumpeter with Harmonic Brass . With the brass quintet she toured around the world at 120 concerts a year and has released several CDs with the ensemble as well as recorded her own compositions under the Brass Works Munich publishing house. She has worked as a visiting professor at universities in the USA, Great Britain, South Africa and Germany. Since 2018 she has been a lecturer for trumpet at the State University of Music Trossingen.

With Cristian Ganicenco, solo trombonist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops Orchestra , Elisabeth Fessler released the album "Across the Ocean" and devised a live program "Loop the Classics" for trumpet, trombone and loop station.
