Elisabeth Flunger

Elisabeth Flunger (born April 23, 1960 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian percussionist specializing in improvisation and sound art .

From 1979 she studied musicology, ethnology and percussion / composition in Vienna . Since 1987 she has been active as a percussionist, as a soloist, in ensembles such as Klangforum Wien and die reihe, or together with other musicians, also in the field of dance and theater. In addition to classic percussion, various metal objects are part of their sound-forming instruments. In Luxembourg she worked for the women's library CID | Fraen an Gender set up an archive for experimental and improvised music. Elisabeth Flunger has been living in Vienna again since 2016.
