Elisabeth Zäch

Elisabeth Zäch (born December 4, 1954 ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ). She was Mayor of Burgdorf from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2016 .

Before that she was a local councilor from 2001 to 2008 . She has been a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern since June 1, 2010 .

Zäch graduated from high school in St. Gallen . She is a trained journalist and has worked for Radio DRS and various print media. From 1989 to 2008 she was the owner and manager of a bookshop in Burgdorf.
