Eliseo Rivero , full name Eliseo Roque Rivero Pérez , (born December 27, 1957 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.67 m tall defender Rivero played for Danubio FC at least in 1975 and 1977 . In 1979 he made his debut there in the first team. In 1983 he was also a member of the club. From 1985 to 1986 and again in 1988 he was then a member of the Peñarols squad in the Primera División . At least in 1985 and 1986 he was part of the team that became Uruguayan champions. In the 1986/87 season he completed 29 games for Platense . In the 1987 season, there was also a career station at Defensor . That year, the violets won the second Uruguayan championship title in their club history. In 1989 he is said to have ended his career at Defensor.

National team

Rivero was with the Uruguayan junior selection at the Junior South American Championship of 1975 South American champions. In the course of the tournament, however, he was not used by coach Walter Brienza . He was also on the squad of the Uruguayan U-20 team , which defended the title at the U-20 South American Championship in 1977 (seven games / one goal) in Venezuela and finished fourth in the 1977 Junior World Cup . He was also part of the Celeste squad at the 1975 Pan American Games .

Rivero was also a member of the senior national team of Uruguay , for which he completed seven international matches between August 25, 1983 and June 16, 1986. He did not score an international goal. Rivero took part with Uruguay in the Copa America, which was victorious for Uruguay in 1983, and in the 1986 World Cup. There he was used at the World Cup in the round of 16 against Argentina.
