Elisha Tarus Meli

Elisha Tarus Meli (* 1988 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specializes in road running.

In 2007 his distant cousin Michael Kapkiayi brought him into contact with the Italian trainer Gabriele Nicola, who looks after a group of athletes in Iten . With a half marathon best time of 1:03:40 h, achieved at altitude, Tarus then traveled to Italy in autumn 2008 and won the Turin Half Marathon there with a course record of 1:01:59 h. He also won the Cremona half marathon in 1:02:33.

In 2010 he won again in Turin and came fourth in the Saint-Denis half marathon . In 2011 he finished eighth in the Lago Maggiore half marathon and in the humarathon .

In 2012 he came 13th in the Yingkou Marathon , and in 2014 he came second in the Zagreb Marathon .
