Elita 5
Elita 5 is an Albanian pop rock band from the North Macedonian city of Tetovo .
history
The band was formed in Tetovo in the 1990s and achieved great fame through songs such as Bardh e Zi , Al Kapone , Faleminderit and Sajzeza . During the 1990s, Elita 5, along with other pop-rock bands from Kosovo and Albania, was the most successful band and artist group in the Albanian music scene, whose lyrics were memorized by many young people.
Since the last song Çmendem from 2007, but before that since the last album Bardh e Zi from 2004, the band slowly lost its importance and was a bit forgotten. Not least because of the Albanian newcomers, especially in the field of R&B , pop and dance, such as Dafina Zeqiri, Elvana Gjata , Altuna Sejdiu , Flori Mumajesi and others, who displaced the "90s interpreters", including Elita 5 and above all Trix and Eliza Hoxha , Fisnikët , Genta Ismajli and Adelina Ismajli counted.
The band also picked up elements of the blues and R&B in their songs .
Band members include singer Arif Ziberi, guitarist Mevaip Mustafi, drummer Besim Ibraimi, bassist Agron Idrizi and producer, songwriter and founder Nexhat Mujovi, also known as "Virus".
Elita 5 owes its success above all to the three main albums. In the last few years, singles have mainly emerged, such as Çmendem (I'm going crazy) in 2007 , Nuk jam dictator (I'm not a dictator) in 2011 and Dëgjo (listen) in 2012 .
The new album was released in 2014, the last, Bardh e zi , was released in 2004. The new album is called "Mohikani I Fundit".

Surname
The daughter of Arif Ziberi, born when the band was founded, was christened Elita . From this name and the number of band members, the name of the band Elita 5 resulted .
