Elivagar was a pagan metal band founded in Schaumburg in 2005 .

history

After the band was founded in 2005, they got a record deal with the German record label Trollzorn Records , which mainly sells pagan and folk metal . On March 28, 2008, her debut album Heirs of the Ancient Tales was released ( English for: 'heirs of the ancient stories'). In addition, Vitiris and Azalon started the music project Last Moon's Dawn.

In the summer of 2009 the band announced the departure of their guitarist Joshy for personal reasons. A year later the band broke up. Their motives included timing discrepancies and changes in their musical tastes.

style

The style is characterized by a recorder and black metal elements, such as double bass drums. There are also often quieter parts in the songs, like in the song Glory of the Battle . Often are blast beats found in the songs. The lyrics often refer to Germanic heroes or battles and the singing alternates between clear and guttural. In addition to electric guitars, acoustic guitars are also used for quieter parts.
