Eliza Atanassowa Jankowa ( Bulgarian Елица Атанасова Янкова ; born September 18, 1994 in Varna ) is a Bulgarian wrestler .

biography

Eliza Jankowa was active as a sprinter in athletics as a teenager , but later switched to wrestling. In 2009 she was discovered by the coach Petar Kasabow , who brought her to Levski Sofia . In 2013 she became junior world champion. Two years later, she injured her spine, but recovered and returned. She won silver at the 2015 European Games in Baku . In 2016 she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Riga and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
