Elke Boehr

Elke Böhr (born March 10, 1943 in Aabenraa ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Life

Elke Böhr has been studying Classical Archeology, Pre- and Early History and Ancient History at the University of Kiel since the winter semester 1969/70 , and since the winter semester 1971/72 she has been studying at the University of Tübingen , where she worked with Ulrich Hausmann in December 1976 with a thesis on the Swing painter . Her research area is the Greek vases. In addition to her fundamental work as a swing painter, she edited four volumes of the Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum Germany and published numerous articles. Together with her husband Hans-Joachim Böhr she wrote articles on natural history topics, on depictions of birds, trees and cervids in Greek vase painting . She is a corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute .
