My days with Pierre - my nights with Jacqueline (La vie conjugale) is a two-part feature film by André Cayatte from 1964 , which was also shown as a two-part in a row under the title A Young Marriage .

The two-parter tells the story of a couple from two perspectives: Jean-Marc ou La vie conjugale from the perspective of the man ( Jacques Charrier ), Françoise ou La vie conjugale from the perspective of the woman ( Marie-José Nat ). The film premiered in the FRG in 1964 and in the GDR in 1966.

André Cayatte describes a seven-year marriage and its failure. Françoise and Jean-Marc went to the same school, fell in love and got married when they were expecting a child. After completing his law degree, Jean-Marc has to go to the provinces and his wife follows him. But soon she, now a housewife, begins to miss the joys of the capital. When Françoise starts to work again and Jean-Marc has stress in his office, the first rifts arise. On the way to divorce, the two reconciled - for the time being ...
