Elke Barth (politician)
Elke Barth (born June 1, 1965 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German Germanist and elected member of the Hessian state parliament ( SPD ).
Life
Elke Barth grew up in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe and passed the Abitur examination in 1984. She studied German in Frankfurt am Main with a master's degree in 1993. From 1995, she worked in marketing and sales in the food sector of large industrial companies.
politics
Barth has been a member of Bad Homburg's city council since 2001. In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 she appeared in the constituency Hochtaunus I to. Here she lost to Holger Bellino . However, you succeeded in entering the state parliament via a list of the party. She was also defeated by Bellino in the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , but entered parliament again via the SPD state list. She is a member of the Committee on Economy, Energy, Transport and Housing.
