Elke Hauck

Elke Hauck (* 1967 in Riesa ) is a German director who dedicates her films to the topic of East Germany . She is counted by her colleague Christoph Hochhäusler at the Berlin school .

biography

Elke Hauck was born in Riesa, Saxony, in 1967. She completed an apprenticeship as a bookbinder and studied German and art education in Leipzig and Versailles . From 1994 to 2002 she studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin .

In 2007 Elke Hauck received the film award of the Saarland Prime Minister for her feature film debut Karger at the Max Ophüls film festival .
