Elke Wendt-Kummer (born February 2, 1941 in Rathenow ) is a screenwriter , director and translator . She made documentaries , television features and translated plays.

Life

Wendt-Kummer acquired her film training alongside her studies in journalism , theater studies and Romance studies at the Free University of Berlin (1960-1967), at the Deutsche Kinemathek , where she published the first volumes of the German Silent Film Catalog, and through film introductions in art cinemas and film reviews in the Spandauer Volksblatt and the magazine Film .
