Ellen Sander

Ellen Sander (born February 14, 1942 in Pößneck ) was a Thuringian singer, yodeler and interpreter of folk music. She started her musical career as an amateur. In the summer of 1968 Ellen Sander was hired by the Pößnecker Musikanten as a vocal soloist. She was best known for her distinctive, distinctive voice and original interpretations of traditional German folk songs. The author duo Gerhard Honig / Ursula Upmeier later wrote numerous titles for the charismatic singer, all of which stylistically went in the direction of folklore . Ellen Sander was a regular guest of the TV folk music show Oberhofer Bauernmarkt from 1974 to 1984 and played numerous concerts with the Pößneck musicians. In the 1980s she was able to place successfully in the top parade of the popular tunes of Radio DDR several times. Ellen Sander always stayed true to her musical style and the Pößneck musicians. In 1987 she ended her musical career.
