Ursula Upmeier

Ursula Upmeier (born November 19, 1927 in Berlin ) is a German lyricist.

In 1951 her first text set to music by her husband Gerhard Honig was published by Mitteldeutscher Verlag Halle (Saale). Many songs were created in this collaboration. Together with other composers she wrote, for example, Eine Welt ohne dich (music: Wolfgang Kähne ) and Papa, you are so charming Siegfried Mai - interpreted by Julia Axen and published on Amiga record. She also wrote other texts for the Oberhof farmers' market , a program on GDR television.
