Ellen Stock (born July 5, 1966 in Lage ) is a German politician ( SPD ) from the Lippe district and has been a member of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament since June 1, 2017 .

Ellen Stock completed an apprenticeship as a clothing technician / pattern maker. She lives in Waddenhausen , is married and has two children.

politics

Political party

Stock has been a member of the SPD since 2009, from 2012 to 2017 she was the local association chairwoman in Waddenhausen. She has been chairwoman of the SPD district association Lippe since 2016. From 2014 to 2017 she had a seat on the City Council of Lage . In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , she received a direct mandate in the Lippe I state electoral district . Stock has been vice-chairwoman of the state party council of the NRW-SPD since 2016 .

Ellen Stock is a full member of the Petitions Committee and Integration Committee and secretary of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . Stock is also a deputy member of the Committee on Equality and Women, the Committee on Culture and the Media, and the Committee on the Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection.

Memberships

In addition to the SPD, Ellen Stock is a member of various associations. This includes her membership in RSV Waddenhausen eV, the children and youth initiative Waddenhausen e. V. and in the Friends of the Musikschule Lage eV Stock is also chairwoman of the Felix Fechenbach Foundation.
