The Ellerbeck Peak is a 685 m high mountain on South Georgia . It rises on the south side of the Sörling Valley on the Barff Peninsula .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1987 after Lieutenant Commander John Anthony Ellerbeck of the Royal Navy , who in the course of the Falklands War on April 25, 1982 as a helicopter pilot of the HMS Endurance by shelling the Argentine submarine ARA Santa Fe at the reconquest of Grytviken was involved.
