Ellert Driessen
Ellert Driessen (born August 21, 1958 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch singer-songwriter who also appeared under his shortened name as Ellert .
Career
Driessen celebrated his greatest successes as the lead singer of the Dutch pop band Spargo . In the late 1980s he was also active as a solo artist. In 1988 the album When the Night Begins appeared , which he released under the name Ellert. The single Love Lies , whose text was written by Driessens, stayed in the Dutch TOP 40 for 5 weeks and climbed to 19th place.
