Spargo was a Dutch pop - group , whose most tester title, the 1980 single You and Me is.

Band history

The band was founded in Amsterdam in 1975 . Members from the very beginning were Ruud Mulder, Ellert Driessen, Jef Nassenstein and Leander Lammertink. In 1979, American singer Lilian Day Jackson joined them. The breakthrough came a short time later. Between 1980 and 1984, various singles made the hit parades , e. B. You and Me and Hip Hap Hop in the German Top 20 or Just for You in the Top 10 in Switzerland . Also head up to the Sky , One Night Affair and So Funny found international recognition. Spargo was most successful in the Dutch homeland, where, in addition to the number one hit You and Me there, ten other titles reached chart positions.
