The Elli-Lucht-Park is a public green space of the city of Frankfurt am Main . The park is located in the Niederrad district south of the Main . The park area of around three hectares was established by the City of Frankfurt in 1985. It is named after Elli Lucht (1906–1975), a Niederräder citizen and founder.

location

The Elli-Lucht-Park is located in the north of the Niederrad district, about 200 meters away from the banks of the Main, on an area with the field name Bergstück, which remained undeveloped until at least the late 19th century. The park property is surrounded by an allotment garden in the north, a residential area in the west and south and the area of the University Hospital Frankfurt am Main in the east. The park is the only public green area directly in the populated area of Niederrad and one of three urban green areas in the district - next to the Carl-von-Weinberg-Park , located on the southern edge of the settlement area and the Niederrad light and air bath on a promontory in the Main.

Furnishing

The park has a relatively young tree population, the trees of which are grouped in several unevenly distributed trees around a centrally located meadow and a paved circular path. One of these trees consists of a group of old fruit trees and is designated as a bird protection tree. The range of games and leisure activities in the Elli-Lucht-Park consists of a children's playground and a fitness facility for senior citizens set up by the City of Frankfurt's Green Space Office.

Transport links

The closest connections to the public transport lines of the Frankfurt public transport company VGF are the Niederräder Landstraße and Heinrich-Hoffmann-Straße / blood donation service stops on the 12, 15 and 21 tram lines in Frankfurt am Main . A short walk is required from both stops to the park. There are parking spaces in the surrounding side streets for motorized private transport. Access to the park is barrier-free . The park can be reached from the north via the Niederräder Ufer and Im Mainfeld streets .
