Elmar Schäfer , also known as Christopher Malkovitch (born March 21, 1964 in Knittelfeld , Austria ) is a German film and music producer and screenwriter .

Life

Elmar Schäfer began his career at the beginning of 1988 as A&R manager at the record manufacturer Intercord , where he worked until the end of 1991 and, among other things, for the New York rap and hip-hop label Sleeping Bag Records and for the successful restructuring of the company's own Blow-Up -Labels was responsible. In 1991 he founded the company Starfactory with Ulrich Riediger , which not only published the high-circulation music magazine MUSIC MAG , but also worked as a management company for artists such as Mark Keller , Playhaus , Stan Bush , Stephan Massimo & The Delicats and others.

In 1995 the two partners separated and Elmar Schäfer founded the two labels Vivian and Elm Street together with BMG Ariola . As a producer, he is responsible for national and international feature film and series projects. Vivian EM AG also specializes in Advertiser Funded Programming, Branded Content and so-called brand financing.

Private

Elmar Schäfer was married to the TV producer and presenter Sabine Zimmermann ( file number XY ) from 2000 to 2009 . He has been married to Ulrike Schäfer for the second time since 2010, with whom he has two children, Christopher (2007) and Moritz (2009).
