Elmar Vogels
Elmar Vogels (born August 1, 1925 in Düsseldorf ; † April 7, 2011 ) was a German administrative lawyer.
Career
Vogels graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Friborg (Switzerland) with a doctorate in 1958 . He was senior government councilor and head of the main customs office in Hanover. In 1966 he was elected mayor of the Rhineland-Palatinate district town of Mayen . From April 1, 1975, he carried the title of Lord Mayor. He stayed in office until 1976.
