Els Moors

Els Moors (born 1976 in Poperinge ) is a Belgian author who writes in Dutch. She is best known for her poetry .
life and work
Els Moors studied English and German at the University of Ghent and text and image at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie . In 2006 she published her first volume of poetry, Er hangt een hoge lucht boven ons ( Eng .: A high sky arches above us ), which was awarded the Herman de Coninckprijs . As a result, she published a novel in 2008 with the title Het sucht naar een eiland and in 2010 an anthology with prose, Vendungijd . Her second volume of poetry was published in 2013, it is called Liederen van een kapseizend paard . He was also nominated for the Herman de Coninckprijs in 2016. In 2016 her first volume of poetry was published in German by Brüterich Press under the title Songs from the horse over board . The book contains the texts of the two Flemish volumes, which were translated into German by Christian Filips .
