Elsa Pumar

Elsa Pumar (* 20th century) is a Uruguayan swimmer .

At the beginning of June 2006 Elsa Pumar set a new Uruguayan record at the Federal Youth Swimming Championships ("Campeonato Federal Juvenil de Natación") with a time of 28.28 seconds over 50 meters freestyle . She was champion in the 50 meters and 100 meters freestyle and in the butterfly also over these two distances. She took part with the Uruguayan team in the 2006 South American Games in Buenos Aires . There she was fifth over 100 meters butterfly with a swim time of 1: 05.04 minutes. In 2007, again at the beginning of June, the swimmer belonging to the Campus de Maldonado broke the national record for the 50 meters freestyle again when she covered the distance at the Torneo Federal Juvenil in Club Biguá in 27.18 seconds. However, at the end of October 2011 , the Uruguayan Swimming Federation led Lucía Ramos as the national record holder with a time of 27.42 seconds on March 25, 2011. A little later, Pumar was also part of Uruguay's squad at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro . In October 2007, she improved the national record over 50 meters freestyle again as part of the Campeonato Federal Juvenil de Natación at Club Olimpia in Montevideo . In the 100 m butterfly and 100 m freestyle she also set new records in her age category. Elsewhere, however, it is reported that a national record for the 50 meter butterfly set by her in October 2007 was held until the end of August 2009, when it was broken by Antonella Scanavino with a time of 28.73 seconds. In 2012 she competed for Club Delfines at the 20th edition of the Copa Amena in Florida .
