Else (film series)
In the years between 1916 and 1921 a series of short comedy films was made in Berlin about the stage actress Else Eckersberg , who played the title role “Else” in them. Margarete Lindau-Schulz wrote the script for three parts, and Walter Schmidthässler for three others . In the second film in the series, Franz Eckstein and Rosa Porten were the authors of the scenario. Paul Otto and Louis Neher directed two episodes each, and Rudi Bach the rest . Four parts were produced by Jules Greenbaum , three by Gustav Althoff .

There is currently almost nothing to be found about the series in the relevant literature; only at GECD are brief references to the content of individual episodes given.
