Elsie Uwamahoro

Elsie Uwamahoro (born October 23, 1988 in Mabanda , Burundi) is a Burundian swimmer .

Depending on the sources, the 1.65 meter or 1.69 meter tall athlete, who weighed 56 kg in competition in 2012, is trained by Basogomba Cassien and belongs to the Entente club in Bujumbura . She is studying Business Administration and Marketing Management at the Light University of Bujumbura .

The Burundian already took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . There she classified herself with a dizzying time of 36.86 seconds as the seventh of her preliminary run in the final score on rank 86 of the 50-meter freestyle race. Uwamahoro was again in the six-man squad for the Burundian team for the 2012 Summer Olympics . In London she started on the 50-meter freestyle course. In their preliminary run, Uwamahoro swam into 4th place with a time of 33.14 seconds. So she missed the semi-finals and finished the competition 67th in the overall standings. In 2013 Uwamahoro took part in the 2013 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona.
