Companies
history
The company Eltel Infranet GmbH was founded in 1991 under the name TFB Telefon- und Fernmeldebau GmbH based in Alsleben . The services initially included copper assembly and terminal construction. In 1992 the company moved to Westhausen . In 1995 the company TFB-Hochtiefbau GmbH was founded. In 1996 and 1998 the areas of data technology and mobile communications were created. In 2001 TFB Telefon- und Fernmeldebau GmbH was merged with TFB-Hochtiefbau GmbH and from then on operated under the name TFB-Communication GmbH. In 2002 the shares were sold to Swedia Networks Deutschland GmbH. In 2004, the Coburg Civil and Pipeline Construction branch was established with its headquarters in Coburg . In 2005 the groups Swedia Networks and ELTEL Networks merged and from January 1, 2006 to May 2012, the company operated in Germany under the name ELTEL Networks Communications GmbH. After the name change, the new company name is ELTEL Infranet GmbH. Eltel AB has been listed on Nasdaq Stockholm since February 2015. EDI.SON has been part of the ELTEL Group since April 2015. EDI.SON Energietechnik GmbH is a specialist company for lines between 110 kV and 380 kV. Within the ELTEL Group, EDI.SON operates the overhead line business in Germany. On June 1, 2017, U-Serv GmbH, one of the largest German providers of technical services for everything to do with energy and water meters, merged with Eltel Infranet GmbH. Eltel acquired U-Serv in May 2016 and sees it as the Eltel Group's strategic entry into the German metrology market.

The headquarters of ELTEL Infranet GmbH has been in Hanover since April 2011 . Further branches are located in Nuremberg , Essen, Wustermark, Wuppertal, Weinheim, Gelsenkirchen, Kaltenkirchen and Suhl .
