Elton George Krafft

Elton George Krafft (born January 15, 1914 in Elkhart , Indiana ; † November 23, 2001 ) was an American landscape painter .

Life

He received his artistic training at the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee , Wisconsin . Here he also ran an advertising studio for several years. During World War II he served in the Army Corps of Engineers in the South Pacific . He became the mentor of Jens Carstensen, who immigrated from Denmark in 1950 .

After retiring in 1985, he moved to Lake Geneva with his wife, Olga , which became his preferred motif.
