Elton zockt was a German game show and a section on TV total .

history

The first episode of Elton zockt was recorded by TV total on May 21, 2003. In December 2003, Pro Sieben also broadcast Elton zockt! - The talk is off. The last issue Elton gambles as part of TV total was broadcast in the penultimate broadcast on December 15, 2015.

Elton gambles - Live

Elton zockt - Live was a game show that emerged from the Elton zockt section of the television show TV total . The first episode was broadcast on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 8.15 p.m. as a live show lasting several hours on ProSieben . The show was moderated by Elton . Sandra Rieß moderated the finals , Wolff-Christoph Fuss acted as commentator.

In the outside parts, Tommy Scheel and Annica Hansen appeared as co-moderators for the outside murder. The premiere of the live game show saw 1.25 million viewers aged 14 to 49.

The second show aired on December 7, 2013. In this Annica Hansen took over the moderation of the show.

Selection of candidates

In the first show, the candidates were chosen at random. As is well known from TV, people were approached on the street and asked if they wanted to play against Elton. Whoever won the duel against Elton was qualified for the live broadcast.

In the second show, candidates could apply over the Internet. There it must also be announced which items will be placed if you lose a game.

Gameplay

First shipment

The candidates qualified in a selection game that was played in the run-up to the broadcast. In the live show, eight candidates competed against each other in several duels, each of which had to be performed in the form of personal items. The value of the stakes increased with the game round. In each duel, 2,500 euros could be won, which were more or less taken over by the loser. If a candidate got out, the losers in the duels had a chance of re-entry. If the qualifying duels were won, the candidate competed against Elton in a maximum of three games in the final and had the chance to win 100,000 euros in the event of a victory. Should a player lose a game, all of his set items would be destroyed by an enforcer standing on the outside of the hall. For example, a television set is run over by a roller, a suit is set on fire, smaller tractors are scrapped with a hammer. There were basically two objects, one material and one emotional. For example, a suit and the son's or daughter's first baby hair. Should a player lose the qualifying game in the final, he should be shaved bald. In addition, a player could get out. If both players drop out before the last game before the final, which is played against Elton, they both receive 10,000 euros and a new qualification begins. However, if the player who was supposed to play against Elton gets out, he receives 20,000 euros and a final qualification is played again; it will be moved up. Then the final must be played again against the other player and, last but not least, against Elton. Elton can't lose anything if he loses his game.

Second broadcast

In the second broadcast, the concept of the broadcast was changed. The show is no longer moderated by Elton, but by Annica Hansen. In addition, there were only three candidates who no longer play against each other, but exclusively against Elton. The three candidates competed one after the other against Elton. There were 13 games in total. The candidates could win 2500 euros per game; the order of the players was drawn. Player 1 started and had to place one of his four items. In the event of a win, the player could decide whether he would like to compete in another game against Elton, or he could secure the item used. If the player secured the item, he received the money he had earned up to then paid out and his item back. If the player faced Elton again, he could not bet the same item again. In the event of a defeat against Elton, the player lost the money he had earned to date (if he had not already secured a sum of money) and the item used was either destroyed or given away by the "executor". Then the next player started against Elton. It was a player's turn against Elton until he voluntarily stopped to secure his money and his set item or the player lost a duel.

The 13th and last game was a final game in which the winner of the 12th game was allowed to play against Elton for 100,000 euros. In the event of a loss, the next player had the opportunity to play the final against Elton. In contrast to the first broadcast, the candidates themselves determined the stakes or the objects they set.

Others

The premiere broadcast by Elton zockt - Live , scheduled for four hours, lasted 1:15 hours longer and ended at 1:30 a.m. The second edition lasted 25 minutes longer and ended at 12:40 a.m.

In the first broadcast, there was a technical failure during the Skyball game, so the game round had to be ended prematurely.

criticism

  • The Süddeutsche Zeitung criticized the “concept” of the first episode of the show and that Elton was “overwhelmed” with the moderation.
