Elvira Clemens ( June 29, 1878 in Vienna - after 1919) was an Austrian theater actress .

Life

Since Clemens already revealed a decided talent for the stage as a child, she tried her hand at acting at an early age. At the age of 15 she stepped onto the boards at the Irving Place Theater in New York for the first time, where she was particularly popular as "Linerl" in Fallen Angels and "Rita" in the talisman of Ludwig Fulda .

The child protection society wanted to prevent her from appearing and Clemens was only able to continue her stage work when she provided evidence that she was making a living for herself and the mother accompanying her through her acting profession.

Elvira Clemens was married to fellow actor Ewald Bach , her sister Martha Clemens was also an actress.
