Elvis Hammond

Elvis Hammond (born October 6, 1980 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player . The striker was a Ghanaian international .

He started his career at Fulham FC . In 2001 Fulham rose to the English Premier League , but Hammond was initially loaned to Bristol Rovers and returned to Fulham in 2002. In the summer of 2003 he was loaned to the second division Norwich City , but in September he was banned for six months after a positive doping test . In the first half of 2005 he played for RBC Roosendaal in the Dutch first division before moving back to England. For Leicester City he was active in the Football League Championship . In 2008 Leicester relegated and Hammond moved to third-rate Cheltenham Town , with which he had to relegate to Football League Two in 2009 . In 2010 he left Cheltenham and was then only with lower-class clubs.

Hammond was appointed to the Ghanaian national team once in 2006.
