Elza Fromm-Trinta
Elza Fromm-Trinta (* 1934 ) is a Brazilian botanist . Your official botanical author abbreviation is " Fromm ".
Live and act
Her first publications appeared in 1968, but it was not until 1978 that her dissertation, the Revisão Das Especies Do Genero Genlisea St.-Hil, appeared. (Lentibulariaceae) The Regiões Sudeste E Sul Do Brasil (= revision of the genus Genlisea in southeast and southern Brazil).
One of their main focuses was the water hose family (Lentibulariaceae). Her work on the trap traps ( Genlisea ) of South America, including two revisions, are standard works to this day. She re-described several species of the genus, as well as the water hose species Utricularia poconensis . In addition to the Lentibulariaceae, she mainly worked on the nasturtium family and the Trigoniaceae .
From 1989 to 1997 she published numerous volumes for the Flora Ilustrada Catarinense in cooperation . Elza Fromm-Trinta then retired from the profession.
