Emanuel Navarrete (born January 17, 1995 in Mexico City , Mexico , as Emanuel Navarrete Martinez ) is a Mexican professional boxer in super bantamweight and current world champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO for short).
Professional career
Navarrete began his professional career in 2012. In that year he completed a total of seven fights, suffered his first defeat against Daniel Argueta, he lost over four rounds by a unanimous decision of the judge.
In 2014, Vaquero , Navarretes’s battle name, inflicted his first defeat on his compatriot Alberto Luna Galicia, who was still unbeaten.
On December 8, 2018, Navarrete fought for the first and so far only time outside of his home country; it went against Isaac Dogboe , who held the WBO world championship belt, which was also at stake. The boxing took place in the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York . Navarrette won this fight by unanimous decision and became world champion.
