Emanuel Ponholzer (born February 11, 1998 ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

Ponholzer began his career at SV Wörgl . In 2010 he moved to FC Wacker Innsbruck . Between 2011 and 2013 he played for FC Red Bull Salzburg . In 2013 he went to Germany to join SpVgg Unterhaching . In 2014 he returned to Austria for AKA Tirol .

In November 2014 he played for the AKA Tirol for the last time. From September 2014 he also played for the second team of WSG Wattens . In June 2015, he made his debut in the regional league against FC Dornbirn 1913 on matchday 30 of the 2014/15 season . With the Wattenern he was able to become champions of the Regionalliga West in the 2015/16 season and thus rise to professional football.

In May 2017, Ponholzer made his debut in the second division when he was in the starting line-up against FC Liefering on matchday 35 of the 2016/17 season .

After the 2016/17 season, he left the Wattener. He then moved to fourth-class SV Völs in July 2017 .

Personal

His twin brother Fabian is also a soccer player and plays with him at SV Völs .
