Emil Abigt

Emil Julius Abigt (born January 11, 1878 in Zeitz ; † after 1935 ) was a German journalist . He was the editor-in-chief, publisher and writer.

Life

He was the son of Julius Abigt and his wife Emilie nee Jahn. After attending primary school and a private educational establishment, Abigt became a bookseller, editor and business manager at daily and specialist newspapers and their organizer. Result u. a. publishes various magazines for country house culture , including Landhaus und Villa , Haus und Wohnung and Das Landhaus , Heimkultur and In my own home . As early as 1912 he founded building associations and promoted the building society idea. He had his own publishing bookstore in Wiesbaden . Together with various artists he founded the Society for Home Culture eV In 1919 he became 1st Chairman of the Mieterschutzverein e. V., seat Wiesbaden. The following year he was persecuted for national activities and imprisoned. He later lived in the Baldur house in Rauschen.

Abigt was also active as an occult researcher and published the collection "Bridge to the Hereafter". He wrote numerous popular scientific works.
