Emil Brix (politician)

Emil Heinrich Brix (born November 4, 1902 in Husum ; † unknown) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

Brix, whose father was a businessman, graduated from elementary school and high school. He then began a teacher training course, which he did not finish, and instead trained as a banker.

Brix, who previously belonged to the Freikorps Roßbach , joined the NSDAP in 1925 ( membership number 7,486) and was a co-founder of the SA in Altona . Brix became a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Provincial Parliament in 1929 . From 1932 to 1933 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament . At the same time he became the deputy of the Gauleiter in Gau Schleswig-Holstein and took over the office of Lord Mayor in Altona.

In 1936 he lived in Kiel , where he had become Gauwalter for the DAF . In this function he ran on the nomination of the NSDAP on the list position No. 140 in the Reichstag election on March 29, 1936. Brix was not elected to the National Socialist Reichstag . Due to excessive drinking and some embarrassing appearances in public, he had to resign from the DAF in 1935.
